‘Permanent deal’ – Manuel Akanji provides update on his Man City future
Manuel Akanji has hinted that he could leave Manchester City next summer after his loan spell at Inter Milan comes to an end.
Akanji joined Inter on a season long loan after making 85 appearances for Man City across three campaigns.
Inter have an obligation to buy Akanji for £13million, if the 30-year-old plays 50% of the clubs fixtures this season.
The Switzerland international has played 11 times for the club since joining, only missing one game so far.

Manuel Akanji wants to stay at Inter
As per Fabrizio Roamano on X, [3 November] Akanji wants his long-term future to be at Inter after the initial loan period.
Akanji said: “We will see… I hope Inter will buy me on permanent deal.
“I feel very good here. I will give my best and then we will see.”
Ezri Konza could be Akanji replacement
Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa could join Man City as the 28-year-old begins to explore his options away from Villa Park.

Konsa’s contract expires at the end of the season, so the defender could sign on a free transfer if he does not sign a new deal.
Like Akanji, Konsa is versatile and can also play at right-back and has been an ever present for Unai Emery’s side across the last few seasons.
