‘Philippe Clement leaving on a jet after sack’ – Rangers fans erupt

Rangers fans believe Philippe Clement being sacked is “inevitable” following their shocking defeat in the Scottish Cup on Sunday (9 February).

The Gers were beaten 1-0 by Queen’s Park after a 69th-minute goal from Sebastian Drozd, providing a major upset as the Scottish Championship side knocked out Clement’s side at Ibrox.

The loss continued Rangers’ difficult season so far, with the club 13 points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.

The defeat increased the pressure on the 50-year-old Belgian coach, with fans starting to become tired of their inconsistent performances.

Steve Cooper could replace Philippe Clement

Football Insider revealed that former Leicester City boss Steve Cooper is a frontrunner to potentially replace Clement, as he sees the club as an “attractive opportunity.”

Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes, Kevin Muscat, and former Southampton boss Russell Martin have also been linked with a move to Ibrox.

There has also been speculation over Steven Gerrard making a sensational return to Ibrox following his managerial career in Saudi Arabia coming to an end.

Rangers fans were left furious with the loss and have called for Clement’s time at the club to come to an end.

Supporters have told the board it’s time to “show some leadership” and make the decision as a “Rangers manager can’t survive that.”
