Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won’t be at Chelsea next season – pundit drops ‘huge move’ claim
Frank McAvennie has insisted Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won’t be at Chelsea next season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker said Aubameyang should be the number one striker at the club.
According to Spanish outlet Deportes Cuatro (22 March), the Blues want to terminate the 33-year-old’s contract after he was seen celebrating in Barcelona’s dressing room after their El Classico victory.

The striker’s current contract runs until 2024 after he signed from Barca last summer following a four-year spell at Arsenal.
On 26 March, sources told this site that the La Liga giants are keeping tabs on the forward’s availability.
The Gabon international has made just 12 Premier League appearances for Graham Potter’s side this season and has scored just once.
He also made six Champions League appearances before being dropped from the squad for the European competition.
When asked if Chelsea will be annoyed with Aubemyang’s behaviour in Barcelona, McAvennie told Football Insider: “He has just left the club, it is a different league they should not be too bothered about that.
“If it was the same league I could understand. It should not be a bother.
“But he is not going to be there next season. It was the last manager who wanted him. Potter did not sign him. He is not starting, he is not getting a game.

“Aubameyang should be the number one but there is obviously something not right.
“He has had some huge moves but I look at his mannerisms and it looks like he does not care. If I did not get on with the manager, I did not fall out with the club. If he has got a problem with Potter or Chelsea then that is his problem.“
