Premier League manager delivers verdict on Rangers 20-year-old
By Danny Wright
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is delighted with Emerson Hyndman’s loan spell at Rangers and believes that he will be a great talent in years to come.
The 20-year-old moved to Ibrox on loan in January and has scored two goals and made two assists in his first six games for the club.
Talking in the Daily Record, Howe has said that he believes the loan spell is exactly what Hyndman needed and also talked up the size of Rangers as a club and how important that is for him during his time in Scotland.
“I’m really pleased for Emerson. He’s a really talented player, he’s going to be great player for the future,” Howe said to the Daily Record. “This loan spell was just what he needed, not just in terms of playing the games but also the stature of the club he’s at.
“What an experience for him… to play under that pressure and expectation at a club like Rangers will do him the world of good.
“It is a really important part of his development.”
Caretaker manager Graeme Murty has continued to use Hyndman in his first team in the wake of Mark Warburton’s sudden departure earlier in the month.
He scored in his first two starts for the Light Blues in Scottish Premiership matches against Motherwell and Hearts.
Hyndman will be hoping he can continue to impress his Bournemouth boss when his loan club take on Inverness CT in the league on Friday.
In other Rangers news, this is why the club must avoid appointing 34-year-old PL chief.
