Celtic player ratings v Motherwell: 9/10 world-class display from fringe star
Goalkeeper and defenders
Craig Gordon – 5: Had one of his quietest games of the season, didn’t have much to do at all until Motherwell scored, could have done better with the goal
Mikael Lustig – 6: Played well in both defence and attack, will be disappointed with the goal that Celtic conceded which the Steelmen back into a game which seemed all over
Kristoffer Ajer – 6: Strolled through the game with a minimum of muss until Motherwell’s goal, must be considered the third choice centre-back behind Boyata and Simunovic
Dedryck Boyata – 6: Dealt with the threat of the very dangerous Louis Moult very well, didn’t make any of the errors that he sometimes is prone to do, a point-off for the goal Motherwell conceded
Kieran Tierney – 7: As always, put in a fine display up and down the left wing, Celtic do need to consider signing another left-back soon before he suffers an injury
