Premier League clubs on red alert for Sindre Walle Egeli as full Ipswich stats emerge vs Watford

Premier League clubs are destined to be knocking on the doors of Portman Road for Sindre Walle Egeli once the summer rolls around.

Ipswich Town only signed the 19-year-old from Nordsjaelland for £17.5million in August, instantly taking to the Championship like a duck to water this season.

Supporters of all clubs have instantly seen their eyes light up when watching Egeli, despite him notching just two goals and two assists in 24 games, and Championship teams won’t be the only ones watching.

European giants, such as Ajax and Benfica, have already been linked with the right-winger’s signature, and it might not be long until the Tractor Boys can cash in for a significant profit.

Sindre Walle Egeli steals the show again at Ipswich Town

Egeli had notched four goal contributions in the Championship before Ipswich’s clash with Watford on Tuesday, 24 February, only to add another goal to his record in fantastic style.

Marcelino Nunez saw his free-kick blocked by a jumping wall, requiring his teammate to think outside the box with a smart finish from an angle at Vicarage Road.

Egil Selvik could do absolutely nothing to thwart the goalscorer in the first half, and it was just another example of how high the player’s ceiling could be in the future.

While Premier League clubs have not yet been linked with Egeli, it will only be a matter of time before his name is plastered across the newspapers and websites, especially given his underlying stats.

Premier League clubs certain to be impressed by Championship star

The 19-year-old stole the show early on with his opener, with Kieran McKenna‘s side eventually sealing all three points following a second goal from George Hirst in the 77th minute.

In his 66 minutes on the pitch, Egeli fired two shots on target, scoring one, attempted three dribbles, made two tackles and three recoveries, and entered into a total of nine duels [FotMob].

Of course, he has a lot more developing to do, proven by the decision to substitute him just after the hour mark, but Premier League teams are bound to see the raw talent in his play.

Ipswich have moved up to third in the Championship table, and should they win promotion back to the Premier League this season, his price tag could rise massively ahead of the summer.
