Premier League manager now odds-on favourite to be sacked next after weekend developments
Four Premier League managers have already lost their jobs in the opening months of the campaign.
Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked by Nottingham Forest at the start of October, as his tumultuous relationship with owner Evangelos Marinakis was abruptly brought to a close.
Graham Potter suffered a similar fate at West Ham a few weeks later, after five losses in the opening six games.
Ange Postecoglou became the third Premier League sacking of the season after just eight matches in charge of Forest, and was notably dismissed just minutes after his side’s 3-0 defeat to Chelsea on 18 October.
Vitor Pereira then became the most recent casualty, as he has been replaced by Rob Edwards after a woeful start to the season that has left Wolves sitting rock bottom of the table.

Daniel Farke odds-on favourite to be next Premier League sacking
Leeds United were booed off by their fans after another defeat saw them slip back into the relegation zone on Sunday afternoon.
The Whites missed three big chances during their 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa, as they were left to rue their inability to capitalise on a strong first-half display at Elland Road.
Lucas Perri has come under scrutiny at Leeds again, after he was rooted to the spot as Morgan Rogers’ netted a free-kick to hand the visitors all three points.
It was another hugely frustrating afternoon for Daniel Farke, who now finds the walls quickly closing in on him in LS11.
The Leeds board have made their intention to persist with the German clear so far, but that could be about to change imminently, as he has now climbed to the top of an unwanted list.

Farke is now the odds-on favourite to become the next Premier League chief to lose his job, with Liverpool’s Arne Slot following closely behind in a surprise second-place.
Leeds’ upcoming fixtures to finish Farke off
Farke has been under pressure at Leeds for several weeks now, and there were even suggestions in the summer that he may be sacked following their promotion from the Championship.
| Date | Opponent | H/A |
| 29 November | Manchester City | A |
| 3 December | Chelsea | H |
| 6 December | Liverpool | H |
| 14 December | Brentford | A |
| 20 December | Crystal Palace | H |
The German has a woeful record in the top flight, and that has continued so far in 2025-26.
The Premier League fixture list hasn’t been kind to Leeds in the coming weeks, with clashes against Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool all on the horizon before the second week of December.
Considering the struggles of Farke’s men since their return to the top table of English football, there is surely little chance of them collecting a significant number of points from those three encounters.
As a result, it would be a huge surprise if the Whites’ upcoming run doesn’t provide the final nail in the coffin for him somewhere along the line.
