Noel Whelan insists it is inevitable that Harry Kane will leave Tottenham at the end of the season.
The former Leeds United ace, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed Kane’s teammates can sense that his future lies elsewhere.
Whelan is certain that Kane will leave Spurs this summer and predicted that things will only get worse for the club once the departure is confirmed.
“We know the inevitable is happening and that’s Harry Kane leaving,” Whelan told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs.
“The players sense that as well, there seems to be a lot of negativity at Tottenham this season.
“A lot of talk about what’s going on off-field, a lot of talk about unhappy players. It doesn’t look like there’s a good relationship there or any squad harmony.
“It seems very disjointed at Tottenham at the minute and it’s only going to get worse come the end of the season.
“The players don’t look like they’re enjoying it at the moment and it’s only going to get worse when Kane leaves.”
Kane, 27, is having an outstanding personal season with 19 goals and 13 assists to his name in 29 Premier League outings.
He will line up against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final later this month as he has a chance to win a first trophy with Tottenham.
