Pundit backs Liverpool to seal ‘big’ late-window transfer after Jurgen Klopp update
Liverpool may still make another singing this month despite Jurgen Klopp’s comments to the contrary.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Reds’ January plans.
As quoted by Sky Sports (13 January), when asked if Liverpool would be making any more signings this window, he said “I don’t think so, it’s just the situation is like it is.

The Reds have only signed Cody Gakpo this month with the club still struggling to pick up results in the Premier League.
McManus was surprised to hear Klopp’s comments.
“You would think there might be another transfer in there,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“Maybe not someone at the level of Bellingham, I think that’s one for the summer. Gakpo looks like he will be a good signing but we haven’t seen the best of him yet.
“That’s understandable, he’s been there what, three weeks? I just think they need someone in that midfield. Even if it’s a younger guy who can learn from the likes of Henderson and Fabinho.
“Klopp has done this before. He’s lowering expectations. Just because he has said they aren’t going to do anything big, they could still sign someone.
“The market changes, it opened up, things change. I wouldn’t rule out anything at this point, there are two weeks left.”

Liverpool sit ninth in the Premier League.
They are next in action against Chelsea on Saturday (21 January).
