Pundit backs Thomas Tuchel to replace Antonio Conte at Tottenham after development
Thomas Tuchel could be the perfect replacement for Antonio Conte should the Tottenham boss leave at the end of the season.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Italian’s future.
Conte is yet to commit to Tottenham with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season.

However, Spurs have the option to extend the deal by a further twelve months.
McManus is certain Conte will not be at Spurs next season and claims Tuchel would be the perfect replacement.
“Conte, we all know what is going to happen there. There is no way he is at Tottenham next season,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“Tuchel never did anything wrong at Chelsea. He went in there and turned an average team into one that could win the Champions League.
“He didn’t get any credit for that and he got sacked a few months later because of a few bad results. If you apply the same logic to Potter then he should have been gone ages ago.
“If Conte goes, which it is looking like he will, then Tottenham could do a lot worse than Tuchel. I think he has been staying out of the limelight for a reason.

“Maybe it is so he can walk into a new job with a bit of freshness to him.
“Either way, he’s a top, top manager and if Conte is to go, Tottenham could do a lot worse.”
