Pundit can’t believe Conor Gallagher news after Chelsea source’s £80m+ reveal
Noel Whelan has insisted Chelsea should keep Conor Gallagher at the club as a number of sides chase his signature in the final days of the window.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 22-year-old adds unique ability “attacking-wise” to the Blues squad.
This site revealed on Sunday (28 August) that Chelsea have offered Gallagher to Everton as part of a cash-plus-player deal for winger Anthony Gordon.

It is understood that fellow Cobham graduate Armando Broja would also be included in a deal which has a total value of £85million.
According to The Times (29 August), Crystal Palace have launched a £27million bid for Gallagher – who was on loan at Selhurst Park last term.
The England international has started the last two games for Chelsea but was sent off during the win over Leicester on Saturday (27 August).

He told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury: “When you get down to the final days of the window, this is where you’ve got to hold on to players like Gallagher.
“He’s got Premier League experience; he had a great season out on loan at Crystal Palace.
“They’ve not got an abundance of options at Chelsea in terms of those central midfield spots.
“Gallagher adds something attacking-wise that they don’t have in that position.

“They’ve got to keep him. He’s wanted by other teams, and that means there is something about him that is important.
“At this stage, they’ll be hoping to keep that squad together.”
