Pundit can’t believe Newcastle United calls amid ‘incredible’ Eddie Howe sack claim

Eddie Howe should not be under pressure at Newcastle United despite the club’s slow start to the 2022-23 season.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Newcastle drew 1-1 with Bournemouth at St. James’ Park on Saturday (17 September).

Eddie Howe’s side have not won in the Premier League since the opening day of the season against Nottingham Forest however they have only lost once.

Wenham insists Howe should not fear for his job.

“I don’t think Howe should be under any pressure at all,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He has done an incredible job since he came in. It’s a matter of trusting the process and even if Newcastle finish this season in 10th or 11th, that would be fine.

“Another summer of investment, another January investment and just building up the club as a whole. Securing better loans for players and better sponsorship deals.

“I think Newcastle fans just have to be patient. I remember two weeks ago I saw they had games coming up that they should be winning.

“To have two draws is disappointing but I think Newcastle are in a good position and I think they will do relatively well this season.”
