Pundit can’t believe Tottenham insider’s Kane update
Gabby Agbonlahor cannot believe Tottenham want to secure Harry Kane to a new contract.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted Kane has plenty of time to left to run on his current deal and it is extremely unlikely Man City will try to sign him next summer.
A Tottenham insider revealed to this site on Monday (27 December) that multiple sources had told him Spurs are increasingly confident of tying the striker to a new contract.

The England captain’s current deal is set to expire in the summer of 2024 and a new contract could see him see out his career at the north London club.
“It wouldn’t make sense to me, I can’t believe it,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“He’s still got a long time to run on his contract anyway.
“If they’re giving him a new contract it’s only to give him higher wages which isn’t really needed because I’m sure he’s the highest-paid there at the moment anyway.
“Maybe, in his head now, he realises that the Man City move is not going to happen now. They can get Erling Haaland in the summer so they’re not going to spend double what they would for Haaland on Harry Kane. Maybe that move won’t happen now.”

The Times reported earlier this year (13 October) Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola is set to hold talks with Man City over his client at the end of the season.
The Borussia Dortmund star has a £64million release clause that will be activated next summer.
In other news, a Tottenham insider has tipped Conte to make a U-turn on a player who ‘looked certain to leave in January’.
