Pundit cites Shevchenko as Arsenal striker hunt update reported
Arsenal could spend £60million on Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak after missing out on Dusan Vlahovic.
That is the view of former Highbury favourite Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Gunners interest in Isak, 22.
According to The Athletic (25 January), Arsenal will make a fresh move for the Sweden international prior to Monday’s transfer deadline.

Isak has a £75million release clause in his contract, which runs until the summer of 2026.
The centre-forward has scored eight goals in 25 appearances across all competitions this season, significantly less than Juventus-bound Vlahovic.
Campbell is not worried about Isak’s goal return and cited ex-Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko as reason why.
“Anywhere between £40-60million is possible,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs. “It could be anywhere in that region.
“Isak is young, quick and hungry. He hasn’t got the goals that Vlahovic has got but sometimes you cannot read too much into that.
“We have seen the likes of Shevchenko, who was a goal machine, come to the Premier League and not do it. Who is to say that Isak won’t come into the team and hit the ground running. You just never know. He has all of the attributes to do so.

“Now that Vlahovic has gone the club have to move fast to sign a replacement. If they want Isak, go and get him.
“This is going to be a really important week.”
