Pundit ‘doesn’t care’ Dean Henderson and Man United teammate ‘upset’ as he delivers home truths
Kevin Campbell has told Dean Henderson and Jesse Lingard to “get their heads down” after failing to secure exits from Man United in January.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker urged the duo to “honour” their contracts even if they’re “upset” with the club.
According to The Athletic (31 January), Lingard saw an exit blocked by the club despite manager Ralf Rangnick green lighting a move.

The Manchester Evening News reported (31 January) that the Red Devils also prevented Henderson from completing a deadline day departure.
Both players were keen to leave in search of regular first-team football ahead of this winter’s World Cup.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs if keeping the duo against their wishes was a mistake, Campbell said:
“Listen, they are Manchester United players. They have signed a contract and they have to honour that. It is the club’s prerogative if they want to use them as cover.

“Whether you are upset or not, it is the club’s prerogative. Get your head down and do your job. I don’t care if you are upset. Do the business for your club and then see what happens in the summer.
“Lingard will be gone in the summer but Henderson is another kettle of fish. He wants to be the number one somewhere and that is something they’ll have to work out.”
