Pundit excited by ‘really good news’ from Leeds after ‘big’ Harrison update
Jack Harrison’s availability will be a “big boost” for Leeds United after his injury scare, according to Noel Whelan.
The former Whites striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 25-year-old can be a “game-winner” for Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
Harrison limped off after 31 minutes as Leeds United were beaten 4-1 by Arsenal at Elland Road on Saturday (18 December).

After the match, as quoted by Leeds Live, Bielsa said the problem was just a “big knock” – and insisted the injury would “not take long to recover from”.
Whelan suggested the Leeds United winger’s “experience” will be vital during the festive period.
“That’s a really good bit of news,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“We could see straight away that it was a dead leg which was causing the discomfort. It can be very difficult to continue if it tightens up in that area.
“I knew it wasn’t going to be a long-term injury – but it’s still never a nice one. They took the precautions necessary, but it will likely be a rapid recovery.
“We’re going to need an experienced player like Jack Harrison across this Christmas period, he can be that game-winner and game-changer.
“It’ll be a big boost to Marcelo Bielsa to have him available, as well as for the fans who will be happy to see him coming back into a very depleted Leeds United squad.”

Harrison is yet to score in the Premier League for Leeds United this term after netting eight goals last season.
The 25-year-old signed for the Yorkshire club from Man City for a reported £11million during the summer window.
