Pundit exicted by what he's seen from Ndombele at Tottenham that 'shows he's not jumping ship'
Noel Whelan has applauded Tanguy Ndombele for forcing his way back into the reckoning at Tottenham after his extended freeze-out.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 24-year-old’s attitude is in stark contrast to that of ex-Everton midfielder James Rodriguez – who departed for Qatar last month.
Football Insider revealed in August that Ndombele told Tottenham he wanted to leave before the 31 August deadline, but no suitable offers arrived.
He did not feature at all during Spurs’ pre-season.
However, the French midfielder has started the last three games in the Premier League.
Tottenham insider John Wenham, speaking to Football Insider, claims the club are putting Ndombele in the “shop window”.

He estimated the midfielder’s total cost to the club to be around £110million in transfer fees and wages.
Nuno Espirito Santo utilised the midfielder in a number 10 role in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa.
Whelan suggested Ndombele must have impressed Nuno to get the nod over Dele Alli and Giovani Lo Celso.
“He’s turned things around for himself personally,” Whelan told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“He has gone from asking for a transfer to putting in some decent performances in the league and Europe.
“This shows he’s not just jumping ship.
“He wants to be a part of the squad and he’s got the trust of the manager.
“It’s commendable. He has not downed tools as some players can often do – as we’ve seen with Rodriguez at Everton.
“It seems to me that he has done something right and given the manager that choice to pick him.”
Ndombele has seven caps under his belt for France.
The ex-Lyon midfielder has made 80 appearances for Tottenham to date.
