Pundit ‘feels sorry’ for Liverpool star Darwin Nunez after what he’s seen – ‘people want him to fail’
Darwin Nunez should use recent social media criticism as motivation to improve at Liverpool.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Nunez, 23, scored as his side beat Rangers 7-1 last week (12 October) though he was dropped to the bench for Sunday’s (16 October) win over Man City.

The striker was brought on with 18 minutes to go against City but he was unable to influence the game.
He was heavily criticised on social media for failing to play in Mo Salah, who was clean through on goal in the second half, instead choosing to shoot himself and failing to trouble Ederson.
Wenham rates Nunez as a player and claims he should use the criticism as motivation.
“I see there is a lot of criticism online for Nunez, I feel for him a bit,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“It seems like there is just a long list of people ready to jump on him whenever he messes up. I still think he is a brilliant player.
“I saw him play in those two games for Benfica against Liverpool last season and he scored about five goals but VAR ruled a few of them out.
“I don’t want to criticise him. I think he is a talented player who has a high ceiling and you have to remember he has only been in the league a few months.
“He’s a very young player so it is hard to judge. It just seems people want him to fail and that is something he can use to motivate him.”

Nunez has scored four goals in 11 appearances this season.
Liverpool are next in action against West Ham on Wednesday (19 October).
