Pundit in awe of best-in-Premier League Cresswell after ‘amazing’ West Ham reveal
Paul Robinson has heaped praise Aaron Cresswell after the West Ham defender was revealed as the best in the Premier League for set-piece delivery.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England goalkeeper said the “amazing” 31-year-old has been the Irons’ “unsung hero” over the past couple of seasons.
Cresswell assisted Michail Antonio’s seventh goal of the season on Sunday as West Ham beat Spurs 1-0 at the London Stadium.
It was Cresswell’s ninth assist from a set piece since the start of the 2020-21 campaign – no Premier League player has provided more. (OptaJoe)
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his verdict on the left-back, Robinson said: “Cresswell is an amazing player.
“Consistency is the word with him. You know what you are going to get week in, week out. He never lets the team down.
“It is just unfortunate for him that England have got so much strength in that position with the likes of Luke Shaw and Ben Chilwell.
“He has been the unsung hero at West Ham over the past couple of seasons.

“David Moyes has done very well to keep players like him at West Ham.
“I’d say he is one of the first names on the team-sheet. Not only is he a very good player but I’m sure he is a big part of that changing room as well.”
