Pundit issues ‘big’ claim on Mateusz Klich staying at Leeds United after talks update

Alan Hutton has urged Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich to stay in the Premier League.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender suggested a move to the MLS would not be the right decision.

According to MLSSoccer journalist Tom Bogert (9 December), DC United are in advanced talks to sign the 32-year-old and could be a key player under head coach Wayne Rooney.

The Poland international has just over 18 months left on his contract at Elland Road.

As quoted by BBC Sport (8 December), Whites boss Jesse Marsch confirmed there have been “conversations” over the midfielder’s future but insisted “nothing is concrete”.

When asked if would fit into Rooney’s style, Hutton told Football Insider:I do not see why not.

I think any sort of intelligent player can take to any kind of set up or style of play so I do not think that would be the problem.

Leeds United

The biggest one is does he want to go to America right now? He is playing in the Premier League, he is a decent player, do you want to move there? Where do you go after that?

It is not downing the American league but it would be out of sight out of mind if he was to go over there now. If it is not working at Leeds I am sure there will be other options for him because he is a good player.
