Pundit issues ‘huge’ Liverpool prediction after what he’s seen – ‘it sounds crazy…’

Liverpool are going to be a “huge problem” for the Premier League’s elite clubs in the second half of the season.

That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Liverpool go into the World Cup break on the back of successive Premier League wins with the club sitting sixth in the table.

The Reds are seven points off Tottenham, who currently occupy fourth and Jurgen Klopp’s side have a game in hand.

Wenham fears Liverpool could rocket up the table in the second half of the season.

“Liverpool are a huge problem,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“They are perfectly capable of going on a run where, I’m not joking, they could win every game from now until the end of the season.

“It sounds crazy but that’s the Liverpool we have seen over the last few years. Suddenly they can just turn up and if Van Dijk remembers how good he is, they will stop conceding goals, it’s as simple as that.

“Thiago and Fabinho can forge a formidable partnership, suddenly Salah starts scoring. Now you have Nunez scoring.

“I have said all along that Liverpool are going to turn up at some point. Klopp, for me, is still the best manager in world football.

“He has been given a pasting from people who want to see him fail but you have to rate the job he has done.

I do worry for what they can do in the next part of the season.

“They still have an elite squad, ti’s a matter of time.”
