Pundit issues ‘incredible’ claim after West Ham source’s takeover reveal
West Ham must focus on staying in the Premier League rather than getting held up over a potential takeover.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the ownership situation at the London Stadium.
Kretinsky currently owns 27 per cent of the Hammers, while Sullivan and Gold hold 38.8 and 25.1 per cent respectively.

The Czech billionaire had been widely tipped to take a controlling stake in April next year following the expiration of a windfall tax clause agreed between the London Stadium landlords and the GSB regime.
A West Ham source has told Football Insider (8 December) that the 47-year-old’s cash is currently tied up elsewhere and he has no immediate plans to up his stake in the club.
McManus insists the Hammers must stay focused on staying in the Premier League instead of a potential change of ownership.
“There have been rumours about David Moyes’ job over the last few weeks which I have found incredible,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“The club do not need more off-pitch stuff taking away from the on-pitch stuff. This has happened before where it looks like he will do the full takeover but then it hasn’t happened.
“I think the two owners in right now, the fans want to see fresh investment. Gold and Sullivan have been good for the club but the fans would rather it was someone else.
“It remains to be seen who that is going to be. The most important thing for the club now is to stay in the division.

“If they get relegated then your value goes down massively. First and foremost, West Ham need to stay in the league.
“Then maybe next summer someone will come in and buy out the guys who are in charge now.”
