Pundit issues ‘massive’ Arnaut Danjuma prediction after what he’s seen from new Tottenham star
Arnaut Danjuma will have a “massive” impact at Tottenham after joining the club on loan.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Spurs’ latest signing.
Everton looked to have secured a deal for Danjuma on Monday (23 January) after reaching an agreement with him and medical tests completed at the weekend.
However, Football Insider broke the news at lunchtime on Tuesday (24 January) that Spurs have hijacked the transfer with a stunning eleventh-hour swoop.
Danjuma underwent a medical at the London club’s headquarters on Tuesday night and agreed the terms of a loan deal until the end of the season.
McManus is expecting big things from the attacker.
“He is someone Tottenham needed,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“They have needed a wide man, someone who can create more chances for those strikers. He did very well at Villarreal and I think his arrival will give Tottenham a lift.
“Signings can do that, that can change the mood at a club, especially if the supporters are on the club’s back a bit.
“Kane and Son have been starved of service. Kane has managed to make the most of what he has been given, god knows where they would be without his goals this season.
“Danjuma is proven at the highest level. He isn’t just some random player. He would have been a massive signing for Everton.
“He will have a massive impact at Tottenham if he can stay fit.”
