Pundit issues Richarlison prediction after Tottenham teammate’s reveal

Frank McAvennie has suggested Antonio Conte will “find a place” for Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Richarlison in his side next season

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-West Ham striker said Richarlison will struggled to top the “wonderful” partnership between Kane and Son.

As quoted by Football London (16 July), Son praised Richarlison, 25 and said he will give Spurs options to rotate.

Son added that he has “really enjoyed” playing with the Brazilian in pre-season.

Richarlison joined from Everton this summer for a fee of around £52million.

He put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Conte’s side.

When asked if he thought the striker could oust Son from his place in the Tottenham team, McAvennie told Football Insider: “Stranger things have happened but I don’t think you get many partnerships like Son and [Harry] Kane.

It’s taken them a few years, they were good at the beginning but they’re working like a married couple now. They know what each other are doing.

Son is a wonderful talent and he compliments Kane so much so I don’t think that will be an issue, somebody taking their place.

But good players will come in and they’ll find a space in the team. [Antonio] Conte will find a way to do it and get them in.
