Pundit issues ‘sensational’ Frank Lampard claim after Everton development ‘no one is talking about’
Frank Lampard deserves more credit for the “sensational” job he is doing at Everton.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Everton sit 12th in the Premier League after winning three of their 13 top-flight games this season.
On Saturday (29 October), the Toffees earned a creditable draw away at high-flying Fulham to follow up their 3-0 win over Crystal Palace last weekend (22 October).
Wenham insists Lampard is not getting the credit he deserves,
“Once again you have to give credit to Franky Lampard,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Everton achieved a really big 3-0 win over Palace last weekend. I saw a couple of comments from Everton fans who said it has been a decade since they had a win like that at Goodison Park.
“It was only a 3-0 win over a bad Palace team but I think the work Lampard has done this season has not really been spoken about.
“As a Tottenham fan, I am no great lover of Frank Lampard but I have to give credit where it is due. The work he has done has been sensational.
“If you look at the way they are playing this year compared to last season then it is chalk and cheese. He’s done it without spending too much money either.
“Coady on loan and Tarkowski on a free are two of the signings of the season for me.
“I am very impressed and I just feel like no one is talking about it.”
