Pundit lambasts Aston Villa after source’s Steven Gerrard update
Aston Villa are creating their own problems as their winless run continues.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Aston Villa have lost four of their opening five Premier League games with pressure building on Steven Gerrard.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (29 August) that Gerrard’s position as manager is far from secure and the club’s ambitious American owners won’t hesitate to sack him if results do not improve.
Villa have only three wins in their last 16 Premier League matches going back to last season
“It really hasn’t worked out for Gerrard, has it?” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He has spent a lot of money on players like Coutinho, who has completely switched off since his move was made permanent.
“Big, big worry for Aston Villa now. Obviously, they have spent a lot of money on Diego Carlos and he is out for something like six months.
“They were linked with Jan Bednarek, is that the type of player they need? Someone who Southampton have deemed not good enough?
“Is he going to sort them out? Villa are asking for their own problems if they are making decisions like that.”

Football Insider understands Jan Bednarek is close to signing for West Ham after they hijacked Villa’s attempts to sign him.
Villa are next in action against Aston Villa on Saturday (3 September).
In other news, one expert claims Gerrard has “four games to save his job” after Aston Villa source news.
