Pundit lambasts Leeds United fans after source’s manager update – ‘what right have they got?’

Leeds United have “no right” to demand Marcelo Bielsa’s return to the club.

That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

On Tuesday (25 October), sources told this site that the Whites are putting out feelers as they lay the groundwork for appointing a new manager.

Leeds are winless in eight Premier League games and have now lost four in a row after losing 3-2 to Fulham on Sunday (23 October).

Wenham has been left bemused by the suggestion that Bielsa could return to the club that sacked him back in February.

“I mean, what is that, really?” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“They brought Marsch in and have signed players specifically to him, to the style he wants and demands. Why would they bring him back?

“I put this in the same category as fans who boo their own team at halftime in games, ‘we want it all and we want it now’.

“Success is built at all football clubs on stability. My happiest period supporting Tottenham was having Pochettino for four or five seasons.

“He rode it out and brought success over time. This constant thing of, ‘we must change’. I don’t like it. What right have Leeds got?

“They have been out of the top flight for 25 years then they come back and say they want the manager out after 10 games.

“No, not for me.”

Leeds sit 18th in the Premier League after their loss to Fulham.

They are next in action against Liverpool on Saturday (29 October).
