Leeds could sack Bielsa by next week after ‘unbelievable’ inside source reveal – pundit
Marcelo Bielsa could be sacked by Leeds United before January, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-England forward suggested Bielsa is a two more “big defeats” from the axe with Liverpool and Aston Villa the club’s next two opponents.
A Leeds source told Football Insider yesterday (21 December) the 66-year-old is fighting for his job going into January and is not expected to be at the club next season.

After a run of three defeats, the Yorkshire giants are still only five points above 17th-place Burnley despite playing three games more.
“Leeds fans are confused, they are choosing the manager over the club,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Any other set of fans would say ‘You know what Bielsa, you’ve done a great job, you’ve brought us into the Premier League but now it’s time to go’.
“The club comes before a player, the club comes before a manager.
“He’s done an unbelievable, amazing job, it should be ‘thank you for your service, but now we’re going to bring in somebody different who can play different tactics and win some games’.
“They’re never going to get past mid-table with those tactics.
“Look at Aston Villa, Dean Smith came in, got them promoted and had a great finish in the Premier League last season. They had five, six, seven games where they weren’t very good and Villa pulled the plug. They didn’t care that he was a Villa fan, they didn’t care about what he had done to get them promoted.
“Owners are ruthless and they want big things. They don’t just want to stay in the Premier League.

“If I’m Leeds’ owners I’d be thinking, ‘this isn’t fun, losing games at Elland Road and going away and seeing the ball go into our net. That’s not elite management’.
“He’s not immune from the sack. If he gets another couple of big, big defeats he could be sacked and would deserve it, of course.”
