Pundit makes ‘unbelievable’ West Ham claim after ‘what I’ve seen’
Paddy Kenny claims there is no reason why West Ham can’t consider themselves favourites to win the Europa League.
The former Leeds United stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, isn’t surprised Moyes is playing down his side’s chances.
Moyes is quoted by Evening Standard (25 November) as warning the Europa League becomes a “completely different competition” when Champions League sides drop in.

This came as he opened up on West Ham being considered favourites to win the Europa League after securing their place at the top of their group on Thursday.
Kenny insists the Hammers can progress to the very late stages of the competition if they continue their current form.
“There are going to be some very good sides dropping in,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“It could be AC Milan or Atletico Madrid by the looks of things. But West Ham have been so good.
“Why not? I don’t see any reason why they can’t get to the very last stages of the competition.
“It always gets tougher but we have seen other teams do it before and, from what I have seen, West Ham are capable.
“Don’t forget, they are in unbelievable form. Moyes will always play down expectations as well.
“Deep down, he will be thinking they can do things like getting in the top four and winning trophies.
“As long as they keep winning, there is no reason to think they can’t achieve something like that. It would be huge, unbelievable.”

West Ham are already in the hat for the knockout rounds after beating Rapid Vienna 2-0 on Thursday.
Andriy Yarmolenko and Mark Noble goal secured another win as the Hammers continue to avoid defeat in Europe.
