Pundit on Eddie Howe potentially quitting Newcastle United after critical news – pundit
Eddie Howe has no interest in leaving Newcastle United to replace Gareth Southgate as England manager.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
The Daily Mail reported on 11 December that Howe, 45, would be a “leading contender” to replace Southgate, should he leave England but his situation at Newcastle makes a move unlikely.

In any case, The Telegraph reported on Saturday (17 December) that Southgate is set to lead England to Euro 2024.
It is unknown how long Howe is contracted for at St James’ Park after he signed a “long-term” new contract on the eve of the 2022-23 season with the club not confirming the length of the deal.
Wenham can’t see Howe leaving Newcastle anytime soon.
“I don’t think Newcastle fans have anything to worry about,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Howe is very happy in his new role. Premier League clubs have more disposable income than national sides so I wouldn’t be worried at all.
“At Newcastle, Howe has everything he could ever want. A blank cheque, freedom to build what he wants to and a really exciting project.
“I think he likes the day-to-day stuff, international management isn’t that unless you are at a tournament.
“I would say there is zero chance of Howe leaving Newcastle anytime soon, I don’t see him leaving for anyone, to be honest.
“It will be a long time until he leaves.”

Howe led Newcastle into third place in the Premier League before the World Cup break.
Their domestic season restarts against Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday (20 December).
In other news, Newcastle United are set to make a record £179million-plus announcement.
