Pundit says ‘credit to Levy’ after Tottenham insider’s significant Kane news
Tottenham chief Daniel Levy deserves “a lot of credit” for keeping Harry Kane at Tottenham, according to Alex McLeish.
The former Scotland manager, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, hailed the Spurs chairman for “digging his heels in” over the summer.
Tottenham insider John Wenham revealed to this site on Monday (27 December) that multiple sources have told him Spurs are increasingly confident of tying the striker to a new contract.

Kane, 28, is said to be “very, very happy” working under Antonio Conte.
The striker’s current deal expires in 2024 and a new deal could see him end his career at Tottenham.
McLeish insisted Levy should be applauded by fans for his headstrong approach to keep Kane in north London.
Discussing a potential new deal for Kane, McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I think that would be so like Spurs. You look back historically, for some reason they seem to hold onto all these guys.
“That is a credit to itself. It seems to be a Spurs policy. I know Daniel Levy has dug his heels in and made it tough for Kane to leave this summer.
“You have to give Daniel credit. Everybody likes to slag the chairman and all these people off.
“But you have to give Levy a lot of credit for hanging on to Harry.
“For Harry to revitalise his love for the style of play and his love of the new manager, it’s culminating in a love for the club.”
Kane was involved in a transfer storm involving Manchester City over the summer.

The England hitman signed his current terms back in 2018.
He has scored 11 goals in 24 appearances this season.
