Pundit suggests behind-the-scenes ‘problem’ at Leeds after ‘mad’ development

Leeds United could have a major problem with their training methods after the club was stuck with more injury blows.

That’s according to former Whites stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider amid an update from their Thorp Arch headquarters.

In a statement on Thursday (9 December), Leeds confirmed Patrick Bamford, Liam Cooper, Kalvin Phillips and Rodrigo are all sidelined.

Bamford, Cooper and Phillips are all suffering with hamstring problems.

Kenny labelled Leeds’ injury struggles as “mad” and speculated the cause of the club’s ongoing crisis.

“It’s mad that this keeps happening,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Quite often you see one injury at a club then three or four of the same follow.

“That sort of suggests there is a problem with something they are doing.

“Leeds just can’t progress at the moment, it is blow after blow.

“They seem to get a few players back then lose a few more for another reason.

“You wonder if they are working too hard in training. You just don’t know what is causing this.

“It will be interesting to see how they cope of the next few weeks, it could be a struggle for them.”

Leeds have struggled with injuries all season as Bamford only returned against Brentford on 5 December after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Phillips and Cooper have been mainstays this season, making a combined 31 appearances in all competitions.
