Pundit suggests real reason Jordan Henderson has been axed by Liverpool after ‘big’ update
Alan Hutton has suggested two reasons Jurgen Klopp may have left Jordan Henderson out of the Liverpool starting XI v Nottingham Forest on Saturday (22 October).
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender said Henderson may have been nursing an injury or the Reds boss is trying to keep him ready for the game against Ajax on Wednesday (26 October).
The Reds skipper has been left on the bench for two of the last three league outings.

Liverpool were beaten 1-0 by Steve Cooper’s side on Saturday (22 October).
Speaking to club media (22 October), Klopp said the loss was a “big blow” for the players.
When asked if the manager will regret not playing the captain, Hutton told Football Insider: “I think hindsight is a wonderful thing.
“When it does not work out you can say well I should have done this. Obviously Klopp felt, for that particular game, that he got it right.
“You listen to his interview before the game and that is what he was saying. He knew it was going to be a difficult game but he felt the team that he put out was the one that could go and win it.

“Is Jordan Henderson carrying something? Is he keeping him ready for the European game? There is a whole lot of implications that go in to a manager’s decision. It could be one of them.
“We look back and they were beaten and it could have been the wrong decision but only Klopp will know that.“
