Pundit suggests when Everton will sack Frank Lampard after source’s reveal – ‘people are talking’
Frank McAvennie has claimed Frank Lampard will be sacked by Everton before the end of the month.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker said Lampard has “tried everything” at Goodison Park but has not been getting results that would keep him in a job.
Sources told this site today (5 January), that the Toffees are expected to sack the 44-year-old ahead of their next Premier League clash against Southampton.
The former Chelsea man will remain in charge for their FA Cup tie against Man United on Friday (6 January) and it is becoming increasingly likely that it will be his last match in charge.
Lampard’s future at Everton is on the brink following a run of eight defeats in 11 matches topped off by a 4-1 hammering by Brighton on Tuesday (3 January).
When asked if there is any chance the Merseyside boss will be given time to turn things around, McAvennie told Football Insider: “They way people are talking, no.
“I just do not get some people having a go at Frank. He is in there trying to do a job. I am a great believer that it is the players as well.

“I do not think he is a bad manager. I do not see the Everton boys taking responsibility. Frank has given them all a chance, he has tried everything.
“Do I think he is going to be there at the end of the season? No. Do I think he is going to be there at the end of January? Probably not. It is a result driven business and he is not getting the results.“
