Pundit swipes at Solskjaer after journalist’s ‘big’ Dalot reveal at Man United

Man United defender Diogo Dalot has been transformed by Ralf Rangnick, according to Paul Robinson.

The former Spurs and England goalkeeper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said the 22-year-old’s “brilliant” form is “one of the big pluses” for the Red Devils of late.

Dalot starred for Manchester United on Saturday in a 1-0 win over West Ham at Old Trafford.

As quoted by Manchester Evening News (22 January), Rangnick said the right-back is “offensively one of the best full-backs” around when speaking on MUTV.

According to Fabrizio Romano (22 January), Borussia Dortmund were interested in signing Dalot this month but he is now viewed “untouchable”.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of Dalot’s form, Robinson said: “Dalot is certainly coming to the fore now.

“He was brilliant at the weekend.

“I still don’t know where Manchester United are at. They needed a stoppage time winner to beat West Ham at home. United should be beating West Ham comfortably at home. It should be a banker. It is not the case anymore though.

“Dalot is one of the big pluses for them at the moment. He’s massively in the equation under the new manager. He looks untouchable, a different player to what he was.

“It makes you question why he was left out so often by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.”

Dalot has made 16 appearances across all competitions this season.

He has 18 months left on his contract at Old Trafford.
