‘Pure annoyed’, ‘Strange’ – Celtic fans blast Rodgers decision to bench in-form ace v Rangers
Celtic supporters have taken to social media to blast the absence of Olivier Ntcham in the starting line-up for the match against Rangers.
The 21-year-old Frenchman, who has been in very good form recently, has been left on the bench, in a team that was recently announced on Celtic’s official Twitter account.
Brendan Rodgers has decided that in-form ace Ntcham will ve replaced by Callum McGregor and Moussa Demeble comes in for Leigh Griffiths in a team which has two changes in it from the side which defeated Dundee 2-0 on Boxing day.
The decision to leave the summer signing on the bench has not gone down well, with one fan suggesting that the player must be fuming because he isn’t playing.
Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to Ntcham’s absence:
The Hoops go into the match 11 points ahead of their old rivals in the Scottish Premiership league table, and eight points ahead of second placed Aberdeen.
The first meeting of the season between the sides saw Celtic cruise to a 2-0 win at Ibrox in September, thanks to goals from Tom Rogic and Leigh Griffiths.
Rodgers will be hoping for a similar result in the last match before the Bhoys head off to Dubai for their winter break.
