Radrizzani stance is clear: Major Leeds development in hunt for high-flying striker - reliable journalist

Leeds United are unlikely to be able to afford the wages to sign Derby centre-forward Chris Martin, according to a reliable journalist.
Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay claimed on his personal Twitter account on Monday that Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani has a very clear stance on the wage structure at Elland Road and is unwilling to break it for Martin, 29, after he was understood to have been made available by Derby.
It is said that the Rams have been touting the Scotland international around and have offered him to the Whites, but his wages are a huge problem that may mean he will not be moving to Elland Road.

Freelance reporter Joe Rawson claimed on his personal Twitter account on Monday that Leeds have made enquiries about Martin, however, in a major development, it is now understood that the contact between the two Championship promotion chasers has been the other way around, with Derby reaching out to the Yorkshire club.
The Telegraph has reported that Fulham and Reading are joined by Leeds in he hunt to sign Martin as the Rams look to offload him in order to finance a swoop for Cameron Jerome from Norwich.
Derby are flying high in the Championship at the moment, sitting second in the table.
However Scottish striker Martin has only scored one goal for them in all competitions this season and has not started a league game in over a month.
Football Insider verdict
Radrizzani has run a very tight ship since taking over at Elland Road in May. He financed a complete overhaul of the first-team squad and has also bought back Elland Road, the ladies team and invested a lot of money into the development sides. However it’s likely that most Leeds fans would rather the Italian businessman would invest that money on the pitch, where it counts the most. United are the closest they have been to promotion back to the Premier League and Radrizzani must not let to club regress back into it’s old mid-table self. Elland Road is one top striker away from being back in the big time, and to get that striker Radrizzani has to spend the money.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are in the running to re-sign this Premier League forward as a £1.5million bid is readied by a high-flying club.
