Radu Dragusin shares special memory message amid Tottenham injury slog

Radu Dragusin has taken to social media with a new emotional message as the Tottenham ace continues to recover on the sidelines.

The 23-year-old made a much bigger impact during his second season in North London, with both Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven spending considerable lengths of time on the sidelines.

However, the Romanian international is now in a similar position to his centre-back partners, having picked up a season-ending injury in January, and has not featured since.

Dragusin shared an update with the Tottenham faithful on his current fitness levels earlier this month, with fans hoping for the centre-back’s return ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Thomas Frank will require a fully-fit squad following his move from Brentford this summer, and Ange Postecoglou was often without his biggest names last term.

Radu Dragusin shares Romania memory

Taking to Instagram stories (17 June), Dragusin wrote: “One year ago,” reminiscing about Romania’s 3-0 win over Ukraine to kickstart the nation’s Euro 2024 campaign.

Nicolae Stanciu, Razvan Marin, and Denis Dragus were all on the scoresheet, and after a draw with Slovakia and a defeat to Belgium, Romania reached the round of 16 before being knocked out.

Thomas Frank to prepare Tottenham squad for 2025/26

Football Insider verdict

Frank’s arrival at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been met with a mixed reaction, with Van de Ven’s recent quotes in the media highlighting a toxicity within the squad.

The players are clearly unhappy with Daniel Levy‘s decision to sack Postecoglou, and the new boss will need to do a lot of work in order to reshape the squad before the new season kicks off.

His move to North London, however, has linked Bryan Mbeumo with a shock Tottenham move, though Man United are still likely to get a deal done due to the player’s preference.

Mick Brown told Football Insider that Tottenham are also interested in Yoane Wissa, with both Brentford wingers impressing at the Gtech Community Stadium last season, amassing 50 league goal contributions.

The likes of Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski, Yves Bissouma, and Pedro Porro have all been linked with exits, and it remains to be seen if Levy will back his new manager in the transfer market.
