Raheem Sterling’s move to Chelsea ‘very nearly done’ after what pundit has ‘heard’
Frank McAvennie has “heard” Man City winger Raheem Sterling’s move to Chelsea is “very close to being done”.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-West Ham forward is adamant the 27-year-old will arrive leave the Etihad this summer.
On Friday (1 July), the Daily Mail reported that talks between Chelsea and Man City have accelerated significantly in recent days.

Sterling is said to have held positive talks with Thomas Tuchel over his potential role at Stamford Bridge.
The forward is said to be willing to pen a four-year contract with the London club if a fee of around £45million can be agreed between the two clubs.
Sterling’s contract at the Etihad expires next summer.
When asked for his assessment of the latest, McAvennie told Football Insider: “It looks as if he’s going to Chelsea.
“It’s very close to being done I heard. It’s a strange one but he’ll do well in London and he wants to go there. What the player wants the player gets.
“With him going out and [Erling] Haaland coming in, they’re two totally different players. I think Sterling going anywhere he’ll do well.
“I think he’ll go to Chelsea, from what I can gather that’s what the deal is or that’s what it looks like will happen.“

Sterling has made 337 appearances across all competitions for City during his seven years with the club.
In that time, he has scored 131 goals of which 85 have come in the Premier League.
