Rangers backed to complete Jonathan Panzo signing after source’s reveal – expert
Michael Beale is already impressing with his transfer business at Rangers.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton has been impressed with Beale’s signings so far and is excited about what is to come.
Rangers confirmed the arrival of Dujon Sterling on a pre-contract agreement from Chelsea and he will officially join the club on 1 July.
But Beale is looking to further solidify his defence and Football Insider revealed (14 June) that the Gers have begun a new round of talks with Nottingham Forest’s Jonathan Panzo.
The Premier League side are believed to be holding out for a fee of around £2million and negotiations between the two clubs are still ongoing.
Hutton insisted Panzo will fit in well alongside Sterling and Goldson.
“I think Rangers have already done well bringing in Sterling,” he told Football Insider.
“I think they might go to a three at the back next season. I could be totally wrong but the players that they are bringing in, who they are looking at, it would suit them to have three solid centre-backs.
“Whether that be Sterling, Goldson and probably another one. I think he is looking to strengthen in that area.

“Nottingham Forest are probably looking to trim their squad as well when you think of the players they brought in last season.
“Michael Beale I think has done well so far in terms of who he has brought in so I think that could be a good signing.“
In other news, star striker could leave Rangers as two forward signings on the cards.
