Rangers backed to sign striker after source’s Antonio Colak reveal – expert
Rangers have been backed to sign a replacement for Antonio Colak.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton is uncertain whether Colak will fit in alongside latest signing Sam Lammers.
The Gers confirmed the arrival of Atalanta striker Lammers last week (15 June) as boss Michael Beale looks to bring in reinforcements following the departure of Alfredo Morelos.
Football Insider revealed (14 June) that the impending arrival of Lammers and the potential for Beale to add another attacker to his ranks, Colak could be sold this summer.
The 29-year-old made the switch from Greek side PAOK Salonika to Ibrox last summer and scored 18 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions in his first full season.
When asked what will happen to Colak if Beale opts to sign another striker, Hutton told Football Insider: “He will have to fight for his place.
“He has shown last season that he can score goals, it is definitely there.
“The thing for me is that Michael Beale did revert back to Morelos for whatever reason.

“I think Lammers looks like a very good link up player but you then need and out and out striker to play alongside him. Whether that would fit with Colak I am not sure.
“[Kemar] Roofe is still there as well but he could look to bring somebody else in. What I like is that he is getting his business done early to have his squad in for pre-season and ready to go.“
