Medical today: Rangers finalise signing of £60,000-a-week star Ben Davies – Sources
Ben Davies will undergo a Rangers medical on Monday as he finalises a £4million transfer from Liverpool, sources have told Football Insider.
The defender, 26, has been given permission to head to the Glasgow giants and complete the formalities of the transfer after agreeing a four-year contract.
Rangers and Liverpool have agreed a £4m fee for Davies, who has three years remaining on a deal with the Champions League giants worth £60,000-a-week.

He is likely to be taking a significant pay rise to join Rangers, where the top earners are well below that mark.
Davies will make the move to Ibrox after failing to make a single senior appearance for Liverpool since signing from Preston North End on deadline day in January 2021.
Rangers have swooped to tie up a deal for Davies before Calvin Bassey completes a club-record transfer to Ajax for £20m+.
The defender, who has spent most of his career in the English Championship, will be a like-for-like replacement for Bassey as he is a left-sided centre-back who can also slot in at left-back.
Davies spent last season on loan at Championship club Sheffield United but they are strapped for cash and that made a permanent deal unlikely.
The Preston youth product made 21 appearances in the second tier during the 2021-22 campaign.
He fell out of favour towards the end of the season as the Blades failed to bounce back into the Premier League via the play-offs.
Davies was a mainstay in the Preston defence for three-and-a-half seasons from 2017 to 2021 before he was prised away to Liverpool.

He joined amid a backdrop of injury problems at Anfield – with Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip among the long-term casualties.
The Merseysiders paid a reported upfront fee of just £500,000 for the centre-back, with add-ons potentially taking the outlay to £1.6million.
In other news, Rangers thrilled to bag ‘£8m’ for Calvin Bassey as offer accepted – McAvennie.
