Rangers expert: Beale to wrap up transfer business after three deals agreed

Michael Beale will have all his new Rangers signings in the building by August.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton suggested Beale will want to have all of his transfer business completed by the time the Champions League qualifiers roll around.

The Light Blues will enter the Champions League at the third qualifying round after finishing as runners up in the Scottish Premiership this season and will be seeded for the tie.

The Gers will find out their opponents for the games at the end of July with their first match of the competition due to take place on 8/9 August with the second leg a week later.

Beale has already made three signings ahead of the transfer window opening next month.

Hutton insisted the Light Blues boss will want all his business done and dusted before that all important date in August.

It is always difficult, it is very serious games early on,” he told Football Insider.

I think the one thing that Beale will be hoping for is that his squad will be ready for then. He does not want to be bringing players in late on and they have not really done a pre-season. I think that will be key for him moving forward.

But ultimately they have done it in the past, they have gone through the qualifiers and they have made it before. Yes players have moved on but there is a core there that have been on that journey and have played in big European games.

It is down to the draw, it can be a real wicked one at times. There are big names in there as well. I think as long as the squad is ready and prepared he will be alright.
