Rangers expert drops ‘massive’ Ryan Kent transfer claim after source’s reveal
Alan Hutton thinks Ryan Kent could thrive under Vincent Kompany at Burnley if he leaves Rangers.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers defender isn’t surprised that the Championship leaders are scouting Kent ahead of the summer window.
The 26-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and could quit the Ibrox club for free.
He is yet to sign a new deal in Glasgow but Football Insider revealed that the Gers are hopeful of agreeing a new contract with Kent amid interest from Kompany’s side.
Hutton isn’t surprised a team like Burnley are circling for Kent.
“I think the rumours are always going to swirl about around Ryan Kent,” he told Football Insider.
“He is a top player for Rangers. A team like Burnley, playing under Vincent Kompany who has totally changed the style of football there you understand why they are looking at someone like Ryan Kent.
“Yes they have got a bigger budget than the Scottish teams, but it will not be massive amounts of money compared to the top teams in England.
“If they can get these quality players through the door then of course they can keep an eye on them and see how they are progressing.
“It would not surprise me if there are scouts watching him from now until the end of the season.“

The winger has made 43 appearances for Michael Beale’s side so far this season and has been in the starting lineup for 41 of those matches.
He has scored three goals and ten assists in those outings.
