Rangers expert: Michael Beale’s second signing imminent after journalist’s reveal – ‘the signs are good’
Alan Hutton has been impressed by Rangers boss Michael Beale’s approach to transfers.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers defender said “the signs are good” as they look to secure a deal for Standard Liege’s Nicolas Raskin.
According to journalist Fraser Fletcher (24 January), the Light Blues are closing in on bringing the 21-year-old to Ibrox.

The Glasgow club attempted to sign the midfielder last year but the deal fell through.
Now the Gers are closing in on the signing and the clubs are in talks over a final fee and structure.
Raskin’s contract at the Belgian side expires in the summer and he has already rejected offers of a new contract.
The Belgian has made 17 league appearances for Liege this season and has scored one goal and provided four assists during those outings.
When asked for his verdict on a deal for Raskin, Hutton told Football Insider: “First and foremost I like what Michael Beale is doing.
“The age of the player that is coming in, young, talented, ready to go and prove themselves. Moving forward for Rangers this is a good sign.
“Looking for deals as well, he has only got six months left on his contract, he has not signed a new deal at Liege.
“Beale will think that he can come into the team and make them better so I think the signs are good.“

On Monday (23 January), Rangers confirmed the signing of Todd Cantwell from Norwich City.
The midfielder put pen to paper on a long-term deal with the Ibrox club.
In other news, according to sources, Rangers are ready to accept Lewis Mayo offer.
