Rangers expert tips Alfredo Morelos to complete move after formal offer reveal

Alan Hutton has suggested former Rangers goalscorer Alfredo Morelos would enjoy life at Galatasaray.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gers defender said from watching Allan McGregor at Besiktas, he knows Morelos would enjoy the atmosphere of playing in Turkey.

According to Turkish outlet Fotomac (29 May), Galatasaray are set to make a formal contract offer to Morelos following the expiration of his Ibrox contract.

The striker departed Rangers for free after his contract expired despite efforts from the Ibrox club to tie him down to a new deal.

The club’s all-time top European goalscorer is on the hunt for his next move after leaving the Glasgow club.

When asked if Galatasaray is the kind of club Morelos would fit in at, Hutton told Football Insider:It would not surprise me.

It is a big footballing team, very passionate supporters. I went over to see [Allan] McGregor when he was at Besiktas and it was some atmosphere over there.

So it is probably something that he would enjoy and would be feeling like Ibrox.

His send off from the fans was very emotional and I was thinking he probably won’t get that anywhere else. It is hard to replicate.

But Galatasaray could be the team that has that passion.
