Rangers expert verdict on £10m Malik Tillman deal
Former Rangers loan star Malik Tillman is not worth £10million.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Gers defender Alan Hutton insisted Tillman has the potential to be a top quality player but he is not worth anywhere near the £10m Bayern Munich are looking for.
According to The Sun (2 July), Bayern are hoping to double the £5m fee they had agreed with the Gers for the 21-year-old.
After spending the 2022-23 season at Ibrox on loan, the Light Blues’ option to buy the midfielder for £5m was rescinded by the German club.
The Bundesliga giants are now hoping to spark a bidding war for the USA international and will hold out for much more than the price they were looking for last year.
When asked if Tillman is worth £10m at the moment, Hutton told Football Insider: “I would not say at this moment in time.
2I think there is so much potential within him. I think for one so young what he has shown but I just wanted to see it more consistently.

“With the age he is, you get inconsistent performances. Was he worth £5m? I think so if Rangers could have got him for that.
“£10m is a lot of money to be spending and if you are going to it needs to be the finished article. He will get there I have no doubt about that but I think £10m is a lot of money at this moment in time.“
