By Harvey Byrne
Southampton’s director of scouting and recruitment Ross Wilson is on a Rangers wanted list for the vacant director of football role, according to a reliable journalist.
Gerry McCulloch, host of Clyde 1’s Super Scoreboard show has taken to Twitter to claim that the Premier League senior man is being eyed by the Gers to take the vacant role.
The Scottish giants are looking to revamp their managerial structure at the club following the departures of anager Mark Warburton, his assistant David Weir and head of recruitment Frank McParland on Friday evening.
It has also been reported by ESPN FC correspondent Pete O’Rourke that the Ibrox giants are looking at Huddersfield recruitment guru Stuart Webber for the position and he could be on the same list as Wilson.

Ironically, Webber replaced Wilson at Huddersfield when the latter moved to the south coast in 2015.
He is credited with helping to bring current Premier League star Virgil van Dijk down to Southampton and joined the club at a successful time which has seen them compete in the Europa League as well as make a League Cup final.
If he does make the move up to Ibrox then fans will be hoping he brings a similar success to Rangers.
