Rangers fans deliver their verdict on Mark Warburton after draw against Ross County

By Amir Mir

Rangers recorded a 1-1 draw against Ross County in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon – and fans on Twitter have called for Mark Warburton to be sacked.

The Gers have fallen down to third following the dropped points at Ibrox, as Aberdeen, who beat Partick Thistle on the same afternoon, overtake them in the table.

Ross County took an early lead in the SPL clash when Alex Schalk opening goal was clipped in after 18 minutes.

Left-back Lee Wallace saved the blushes of the home team to score with 19 minutes left on the clock but his side couldn’t find a winner.

It means Rangers are now in third, level on points with second-placed Dons, who have a game in hand on their rivals.

Furthermore, they are a mammoth 23 points behind their Old Firm rivals Celtic, who also have a game in hand against their Glasgow counterparts.

The result against Ross County for Warburton follows the 4-1 hammering at Ian Cathro’s Hearts in midweek.

Therefore, it is no surprise that fans on social media are calling for Warburton’s head after they dropped more valuable points.

Supporters urged chief executive Dave King to sack the former Championship manager now as one fan believes the job is too big for Warburton.

One fan stated that he is slowly beginning to lose belief in the Englishmen by saying the system he is playing is not working.

While another supporter believes Warburton has been found out as he is constantly playing the same style and formation.
