Rangers fans stunned by ‘monumental’ Ianis Hagi development

Rangers fans have been stunned as the latest update on the future of Ianis Hagi emerged with a move to Rapid Bucharest on the cards.

The Romanian has been told to find a new club this summer as he no longer featured in Philippe Clement’s side, and with just days remaining in the transfer window, things are starting to move.

Hagi had been training with and playing for the B team during pre-season and entering the new season as he looks to remain fit for a move away.

However, reports now claim Rapid Bucharest are pushing to bring the Romanian back to his home country after impressive displays at Euro 2024.

Despite calls from fans to give him greater involvement in the first team, he no longer has a future at Ibrox and will leave before 31 August.

Supporters are now insisting he should be playing at a higher level than Bucharest as they questioned whether that move would be best for his career.

The news of the Romania international’s impending exit has not come as a surprise. He spent last year in an underwhelming loan spell at Alaves and has been ousted from Clement’s squad.

However, supporters are insisting he could remain at a high level despite a lack of positive game time in recent years following a severe injury blow.

Fans took to social media in reaction to the latest development as they insisted he could do better than a move to his native Romania.

Many supporters, meanwhile, speculated about the fee they could get for Hagi’s signature.

In other news, a fresh update has emerged on Leeds’ interest in Rabbi Matondo.
